Visitation Policy

Hwasimdoyo operates strictly by appointment only to ensure the Master's complete immersion in his work and to protect privacy.

If you wish to visit, please contact us at least 1 to 2 weeks in advance to arrange a schedule. We respectfully inform you that entry to the studio for visitors without prior coordination is strictly prohibited and will be declined.

Directions to the Studio

The path to Hwasimdoyo, nestled deep within Sagitjanggol in Wanju, traces the secluded journey taken by potters centuries ago. As it may be somewhat difficult to find on your first visit, collectors and ceramic artists with confirmed appointments are highly advised to review the map and the road view images of the studio's entrance provided below in advance.

Route 1. Approaching from Jeonju Station

  • Proceed straight past the entrance of the 'OK CC' Golf Course.

  • Turn right immediately at the restaurant with the 'Yellow Sign' and take the downward access road

Route 2. Approaching from Jeonju Hanok Village

  • As you head towards Traditional Hwasimdoyo, you will notice the roof structure covering our wood-fired kiln on your right.
